Molly
Ceramic Artist, Educator & Art Enthusiast
After a 20-year break from ceramics, I’ve returned to the clay full time—and it feels like coming home. Three years back in the studio has reignited my passion for pottery and set me on a path to refine my style and artistic voice. I specialize in functional pottery—pieces that are as practical as they are beautiful. Much of my work features the sgraffito technique, where I carve intricate designs into the surface and finish them with bold, vibrant glazes that bring out contrast and texture.
With over 30 years of experience as an artist, ceramics has always been my first love, though my creative journey has also included painting, printmaking, journaling, and mixed media. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics with a concentration in Art Education, and my background in teaching continues to inform the thoughtful, expressive nature of my work.
I’m currently based in Morganton, NC, where I’ve fully embraced this new chapter of my creative life. You can often find me at local pop-up events, sharing my ceramics and connecting with the community. I'm excited to keep growing, evolving, and exploring where this renewed focus on clay will take me.
